Inspired by graphic design of Herb Lubalin & movie title work of Saul Bass. Cherpitel is essentially a photojournalist, Simón Cherpitel specializes in shooting people, large events, travel and international large scale industrial location & aerial photography. He also designs collateral material, ads, brochures using his pictures, as well as numerous Web sites. These are a brief selection of his designs and photo works for print publications, presented in a Flash Image Story format, which he originated.
Lubalin influence is apparent in all of the Cherpitel print design, while the movie title work of Saul Bass in the 1950s provided inspiration for his Sun4 Flash Web designs. Photos of Herb Lubalin and Saul Bass are featured. Lubalin put Cherpitel in touch with Communication Arts Magazine, which published his invention of symmetrical mystical images.
